Abstract Submission

Dear colleagues,

we gladly announce the 9th workshop on Clinical Decision Making (CDM) and Diagnostic Reasoning taking place at the Leuphana University in Lüneburg, 4th and 5th of April 2014. It will be hosted by the ”LueneLab - Institute for Experimental Industrial Psychology”. The aim of the workshop is to bring researchers from decision and clinical science as well as practitioners together to share their research and ideas, discuss relevant questions, and to network. We would like to welcome you in Lüneburg, a beautiful town very close to Hamburg, next spring and we invite you to submit an abstract to CDM2014@leuphana.de. The application deadline is December 31, 2013.

The idea of the workshop is to bring together people who are interested in medical and clinical decision making. This year we would like to put some special emphasis on the following topics: risk and morality in clinical decision making, the role of intuition, differences between medical and mental health decision making and research methodology. However, submissions from any other related topics are welcome as well.  We highly encourage students, young researchers and Post-Docs to submit an abstract. This year, we will offer the possibility to include so called Quick-Talks in order to provide a platform for discussion for everybody! Extended talks can be given as well. Please indicate with your submission whether you would prefer to give a Quick-Talk or an extended talk, or both. Please note, that we might encourage people to change the format of their presentation. Abstracts for extended talks (or both) should not be longer than 300 words. Abstracts for Quick-Talks should not be longer than 150 words. You will be notified until January 15, 2014.

There is no attendance fee of this workshop. We will supply coffee and snacks but ask participants to take care of accommodation and traveling on their own.

We are looking forward to seeing you all next spring!
